Something Spook-tacular at Gordon Street!

The spooky season is here and something magical has been brewing at Gordon Street Coffee. 

Despite all the setbacks happening this year, we are happy to say that both of our stores have been able to remain open and roasting. This means we have been able to create some spooky blends to keep you caffeinated and help you get through this Halloween Season. For those wanting an extra wee treat, why not pop into one of our stores and try a Pumpkin Spiced Latte? 

 

Spooktacular Blends

 

 

Hocus Pocus- Try if you dare! This spooky blend is slowly roasted to second crack. Powerful dark chocolate and cherry flavours with a hint of red fruit and a dead man's toe... it will put a spell on you!

Nightmare on Gordon Street- A dark and dangerous blend of beans, and just like Freddie it will keep you up all night!

2020 Halloween Blend- Let's be honest, this year has bean scary enough.

There’s no need to fear, online ordering is here! For those who cannot make it into store, ordering your coffee online has never been easier and we will get to you as quick as we can! Don't forget to select the grind you require and if you're not too sure, send us a message and we will be more than happy to help! 

There are many different ways in which you can brew and enjoy your seasonal roasts at home. However, we have come up with a recipe of our own, for those wanting to try something a little bit extra. Introducing THE COUNTER CURSE! Designed to get your tastebuds tingling and help fight off those evil witches. All you need is a V60, an orange and a bag of our specially made Hocus Pocus. 

 

The Counter Curse

16g Hocus Pocus Ground Coffee

7g Orange Rind

250ml Hot Water

Pinch of Cinnamon (optional)

……….

.Place your V60 onto your favourite mug.

.Position a paper filter inside the V60. Add hot water to saturate the paper. This will also heat up the V60 and mug.  Discard the water in the mug.

.Put 16g of the GSC Hocus Pocus Blend into the V60, along with the orange grinds and a pinch of cinnamon.

.Drizzle over 50ml of hot water to bloom the coffee and give it a wee stir.

.After 30 seconds, slowly add the remaining 200ml of hot water in circular motions.

.Once all the water has filtered through, it's time for you to enjoy your wee Halloween brew.
